Gena Redmon Harris is the wife of Minister Jonathan Harris and the daughter of the Late Overseer Fred D. Franklin and Mother Jessie Franklin (living). She is the 2nd oldest child of 4 children and the mother of three sons John III, Jonathan, and Jordan Redmon, of the late John Redmon Jr.
Pastor Harris was brought up in the Apostolic Faith; called to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in 2005 and became the pastor of the Mt. Sinai AOH Church of God in 2009. She carries the mantel of her father unapologetically and loves everyone she encounters! She has a heart for people and never meets a stranger. If she meets you it is easy for her to say I love you and you walk away believing in the spirit of Love she has for all mankind!!
Pastor Harris has been successful not only spiritually, but has many achievements in education and business. She is the first African-American female to hold an executive position in the Office of Management and Budget with Louisville Metro Government. She has held many positions to include: being an Executive Administrator over Open Records, Grant’s Compliance and Grants Finance. She led Metro Government for their first clean A-133 Audit for more than $100 million in grant activity. She was promoted to become the Director for the Office of Resilience and Community Services, where she led community strategist in bringing homelessness to the forefront across business sectors. Pastor Harris is the owner of By Faith Consulting LLC, where she assists businesses in streamlining operations, grant compliance and building internal controls around finance administration. Pastor Harris was quoted saying “ my greatest accomplishment was coming into full relationship with Jesus Christ and seeing people I’ve encountered along the way grow in God as they reach their full potential.”
