Rhonda was born in Keywest, Florida, and is a native of Jacksonville, Florida. She is married to Kenneth L. Ray, Sr. Minister of 36th and Garland Church of Christ in Louisville, Kentucky. The two have three children Erica (34), Charles (32), Kendra (20), and one gorgeous granddaughter Lyla (10), in their union. As the First Lady of 36th and Garland Church of Christ, Rhonda faithfully executes her duties as a Christian wife, mother, sister, and friend. She teaches Ladies Bible Classes, Highschool Bible Class, as well as counsel those in need. Rhonda is passionate about music and has, since her teens, been involved with her church choirs and ensembles. Presently, she serves as Madam Director over the Newburg Acappella Chorus and The Christian Acappella Music Award (CAMA) winning ensemble, Made New Acappella.

Rhonda currently serves as an On-Call Hospice-Registered Nurse with Kindred Healthcare. She joined Kindred in January of 2019.  Rhonda provides keen insight with corresponding care to her clients, who are in the terminal phase of their lives. Prior to joining Kindred Healthcare, she served Jewish Hospital – Rudd Heart and Lung as a Cardiac Nurse working in the Post-Operative Cardiac Surgery Unit.

Rhonda received her Nursing Degree from Galen College of Nursing in 2016. She began her healthcare expertise with Humana Health Insurance Plans of Jacksonville in January 1990. She worked in the Customer Care department resolving claims issues and complaints. Rhonda excelled in the field which led her to relocate to Humana – South Florida where she focused on servicing large and small commercial accounts, and was promoted to Humana’s liaison to the Internationl Longshoremen Association; the company’s largest account in Dade County, Florida. Due to her outstanding service and work ethic,  Rhonda was promoted and relocated to her next position within the company. She arrived in Louisville to serve as Sr. Marketing Analyst in July 1998. In conjunction with her years in Nursing, Rhonda has accumulated over 30 years service dedicated to the field of healthcare.
